Description

The pH test is ideally done 1st thing in the morning before eliminating. It can also be done during a consultation or service before eliminating. With clean hands place the colored tab in between the labias minoras for 10 seconds ensuring that it comes in contact with the naturally occurring secretions from the vaginal canal. For vaginal dryness associated with Menopause symptoms it is recommended to leave the strip for 30 seconds. Avoid testing during the menstrual cycle and within 12 hours of intercourse due to the higher pH levels of blood 7.35-7.45 and semen 7.2 and 8.0 that can alter temporally the vaginal pH.
